WHAT WE OFFER

‘Cockley Wood’ is a mature historical woodland of approximately 8 acres of land situated on the hills between Huddersfield and Wakefield with extensive views for many miles out over the beautiful Yorkshire country side.

THE CEREMONY

We have a dedicated area to hold your chosen ceremony which is under cover with hand made woodland seating. We work closely with our local Civil Celebrant Sarah Garg. The ceremony can be tailored to your needs, hand fasting, Jumping the Broom, unity candle ceremony or just a plain and simple blessing. Sarah has a good range of options and ideas to help create your unique and perfect ceremony.

THE RECEPTION/PARTY
(AS STANDARD)

A Dedicated area is provided in the woods beneath large mature sycamore, oak and ash trees with a covered canopy area along with hand made woodland furniture, seating areas, hammocks, firepit and a childrens play area. We have shepherds hut portable buildings which can be used for a Bar, DJ or catering (subject to catering needs). All the basic attendances are provided, high spec toilets to suite party size, power, water for caterers, first aid and fire safety facilities.

VENUE MANAGEMENT

Included within our rates for the venue/marquee hire are our on the day management costs for parking/traffic management, power, toilets, lighting, monitoring, ushering of guests at the start and at the end of the event, co-ordination of any additional service provided by us i.e. catering, bar, entertainment.

BESPOKE

We know that no two wedding days will be the same and our aim is to be as flexible in our approach as possible, so as such we are more than open to your suggestions/requirements whether your Big Day is DIY or handled by a wedding planner we will provide a stunning backdrop.

CATERING

We have various styles / types of catering companies we can recommend or alternatively if you have a company in mind we are happy for you to arrange yourselves. (There will be a small supplement to pay per person if using your own caterers).

PHOTOGRAPHERS

We can introduce you to various photographers to capture your big day, however we are happy for your to use a photographer of your choice.

DRINKS

We can supply an outside bar on request or alternatively we are happy for you to supply your own drinks or bar (a small supplement will be payable per person).

PARKING

We have parking for approximately 30 cars (which can be left over night at owners risk). We have on the day parking for 2 large coaches if required). All parking is Free of charge.

THE VENUE

We hold a maximum of 1 wedding per week so that you have plenty of time to get the venue set up with a 3 day time scale per wedding.

TEEPEE HIRE

Working with a local teepee hire company we can provide a variety of styles, sizes and packages to suite your requirements (Prices upon enquiry).
